I haven't been on much so I decided to submit something that would show why. I have been practicing very hard to paint realistically. It's harder than it looks and I discovered a trick. Unfortunately, I'm only good if the subject is half in shadow and half in light.
Beast was SUPER hard! But he came out pretty much the best way he could. I wanted to stay away from the Broadway version with his look. This is meant to be seen like a poster for the movie or at the very least a promo and since rumor has it- Alan Menken confirmed Disney is working on a live film version of the musical to celebrate the films 25th anniversary (Note: Disney has not publicly confirmed commitment to the project.), I figured they'd make Beast look more like an actual animal as opposed to a man in make-up (since he doesn't have to sing in front of a live audience.) The levels of this piece were hard to mess with too.
Emmy Rossum (Phantom of the Opera, Shameless) is Belle here or at least I tried for an Emmy Rossum. (I used a picture of her from Google as a reference.) Why? I don't know, when it comes to looks and talent- I would trust her with the role. This is not to say that Emmy Rossum is playing her, if a film is to be made. I would simply trust her with the role.
P.S. I signed it as Monroe Hayden since SjWolfson doesn't look too well in credits and is better as a nick name or brand. Expect everything from now on to be signed as Monroe Hayden.
This is very neat. I think you are right that Emmy Rossum would make a good Belle. This picture looks like one from the Phantom but I think it is very neat. It's very creative.
I LOVE Emmy Rossum!!!! Phantom of the Opera was amazing, but it is not the original film just a remake which I loved regardless! I like how you did this whole pieces very realistic to me, I have problems with trying to do realism you inspired me to try and try again!!!! When I see Beauty and the Beast I get a bit sad, it was my mothers favorite movies she isn't here anymore R.I.P and this just made me smile and I am going to add this to my Faves
really good job
