Description
I was goofing around and was looking at all my old sketches and found this. There was a time when I ONLY drew Glen Keane characters and I have a whole folder to prove it! I studied his artwork to the bone! It's a mixture of traditional and digital art.
Anyways, I decided to try digitally painting this sketch. It didn't come out exactly the way I imagined it would in my head but I suppose that's all of our problems, right? No matter how hard we try, whatever we create on paper, computer, etc.- it will never come out exactly the way we intended it to. Curse of the artist, I suppose.
This took me 75 - 78 minutes (well it's not even finished, or is it?) and I'm pleased enough. I decided to keep traces of the original charcoal strokes to pay tribute to the original promotional artwork Disney released in 1999. Where it was a combo of "finished" artwork and rough draft sketches.

78 minutes? Not bad.
